27 Apr 2010 - Masters Hamilton 2010
Congratulations to all masters involved at the regatta on 24th April. A wonderful day was had and it was fantastic to come away with 4 golds. Well done to Ronel, Suzy,Nick,Alan,Sha and Bruce.
14 Apr 2010 - Sean Watts selected for NZ Juniors
Following on from a very successful rowing season in the U18 age group, we are delighted that Sean Watts, from the Bay Coast Rowing Club (out of Bethlehem College) has been selected to row in the NZ Juniors team in a double at the World Junior Rowing Champs in August 2010 in the Czech Republic. We are very proud of Sean, having been a member of our club from the age of thirteen. And the words of his very first coach at the age of 13 have certainly been proved wrong when he said of the then short, chubby and very unco-ordinated boy “ I don’t think he will ever make a rower, do you think I should suggest he try some other sport out?” Well done Sean!
